My journey in the world of the Australian Shepherd began in 1999 with the purchase of my first Australian Shepherd Jackson.
Since then Jackson has been my constant companion and with me through all of life's challenges. 
He is truly my heart and soul.
So when I was ready to start my own kennel and my own breeding program I really wanted to honor Jackson, as he is the reason for my involvement with this amazing breed.
Senex is Latin for "wise old man" and therefore named after my "wise old man" Jackson.
Although he is not the genetic foundation for my kennel, he is the spiritual foundation and his legacy will live on through my kennel for many years to come.
Senex is a small hobby kennel and our dogs are a constant part of our family. We believe in breeding for health and temperament first and foremost.
Our goal is to produce mentally sound, balanced dogs that make wonderful family companions and have the ability do well in the show ring.
We hope that our love and dedication to our dogs and the Australian Shepherd as a breed is reflected in what we share about our dogs through this website.
